This rare photograph, taken from the Sacred Hill, looks along Runway 07. In the right foreground is the Far East Flying Training School with its beautiful Ryan-STM planes at centre. Moving east is the CATC/CNAC engineering areas with the Cathay Pacific Airways sprawling repair complex nestling between the two Chinese registered companies. Further east is the Terminal buildings with several flying-boats buoyed adjacent to the Tower slip-way in Kowloon Harbour. The RAF installation occupies the area at the end of Runway 07 abutting the foothills of the Nine Dragons. (Photograph kind favour of Leon Callaghan.)
